rainy independence weekend

This is what we did a lot of this weekend when we didn't have events to cover for the paper or activities to attend--computers and movies! It rained a lot over the weekend and we were glad for the refuge inside. I had gotten used to the 50 degree weather, but over time it became colder in the house and I had to run the heater and put extra blankets on the bed for warmth. It is supposed to be nicer outside later in the week--60s and 70s--and I look forward to it

fourth of july

It was a busy weekend, but a good one. On Friday we went to a wedding ceremony, came home for dinner with out of town friends, and then headed back to the reception. Saturday I helped Ryan while he ran, biked and swam the triathlon. Later on in the day we enjoyed (very briefly) some live music at another local bar. Sunday after church I watched the Fourth of July parade. After that, we had some food. I watched the log rolling competition in the afternoon. At night we watched the fireworks from the harbor and then headed back home.
